    Download the file

    On the Download page, tap “Download the APK”. If Android shows “This type of file can harm your device”, choose “Download anyway”: this warning applies to every file of this type.

    Open the file

    Tap the download notification, or open the Files app then the Downloads folder, and tap the fabako file.

    Allow the installation

    Android asks you to allow your browser (or the Files app) to install apps. Tap “Settings”, turn on “Allow from this source”, then go back.

    Install and open

    Tap “Install”. If Play Protect shows “Unrecognised app”, tap “More details” then “Install anyway”. Then open Fabako.

    Allow notifications

    On first launch, accept notifications: this is how you are told about a reply to your request or a call.

Check that the file is authentic (optional)

On a Windows computer, open a terminal in the folder of the file and type the command below. The result must be identical to the SHA-256 fingerprint shown on the Download page. If it differs, do not install it and write to us.

Updates

Most of the app updates by itself. When a new version of the file is needed, it is announced on the Versions page: download it and install it over the old one, without uninstalling anything.

Frequently asked questions

Is Fabako free?
Yes for clients: no commission, no hidden fees. Professionals get a free trial, then pay a monthly subscription, whose price is shown in the app.
How are professionals verified?
Each professional sends their ID, their diplomas or certificates and a photo. Our team checks the file before it appears in the search. A professional who rarely answers requests is flagged.
Why install a file instead of using Google Play?
The app is being reviewed on Google Play. Meanwhile you can install it directly from this site. It is the same app; it will also be available on Google Play.
Is the file safe?
Download it only from this site. Each version is signed and published with its SHA-256 fingerprint, which you can compare with the one of your file. Android and Play Protect may show a warning for any file installed outside Google Play: this is normal.
Can I switch to the Google Play version later?
Yes. We publish with the same signature so the update happens without uninstalling. And in any case your data is in your account, not in the phone: you get it back by signing in again.
What happens to my voice when I dictate my search?
Fabako records nothing. Your voice is turned into text by your phone's speech recognition service; only the text, which you can correct, is used.
Can I use Fabako without an Internet connection?
Only partly: pages and professionals you already viewed stay visible. To send a request, chat or call, you need a connection.
How do I delete my account?
From the app, or by following the account deletion page. Your personal data is then deleted according to our privacy policy.
I am a professional: how do I sign up?
Create an account, then tap “Become a professional” and follow the steps. Your profile appears in the search as soon as our team has approved it.
